• Due: Complete Blog Assignment #1: “Exploring Transcendentalist Thought.”
• Class: Literature circle selections; lesson planning in groups.

Wednesday, April 8th (M)
• Due: Written definitions of 15 words from the tone list (handout from last week) that are least familiar to you, in a notebook or as flashcards.
• Class: Semantic mapping of tone vocabulary.

Thursday, April 9th (T)
• Due: Prepare for today’s lessons: written lesson plan (if you’re teaching), reviewing the chapters (everyone).
• Class: Lessons on The Scarlet Letter (Ch. I-III and Ch. IV-VIII).

Friday, April 10th
• No school today. Enjoy the long weekend!

Monday, April 13th (W)
• Due: Complete Blog Assignment #2: “Public Humiliation”; prepare for today’s lessons.
